1. Change your password regularly

2. Do not log in from public computer
Avoid logging into your bank account from a common computer at places like cyber cafes or libraries. Such systems are used by many people and there is a chance of your password being traced or viewed by others. If you login from such a place, make sure to clear cache and browsing history. Enter your login id and password only on the official login page of the bank, make sure the website is secure. When login, check ‘https://’ in the URL.
4. Check your savings account regularly
Check your account after doing any online transaction. To check that the correct amount is deducted from your account. If you notice any discrepancy, inform your bank immediately.

Typing your bank URL in the address bar is always safer than clicking a link you get in an email. Many times fraudsters send links to fake websites in emails which are designed exactly like the original website of the bank. Once you login to these websites, they get access to your account and you become a victim of money fraud. While logging in, check ‘https://’ in the URL and ensure that you login to the bank’s authentic website only.
