1. Maruti Suzuki Swift Facelift

With the current-generation version of the hatch completing over two and a half years in the Indian market, it is all set to receive a facelift soon. As per reports, the price of this car has been hiked by Rs 20,000 due to the facelift. The new car will be powered by a 1.2-litre Dual Jet petrol engine, similar to that of the facelifted Dzire. Pitted against the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Ford Figo and Freestyle, and Renault Triber, the facelifted Swift will come with a revised upholstery, auto-folding ORVMs, cruise control, and a new 4.2-inch colour multi-info display (MID) No changes are expected on the outside. However, the biggest change will be the new powertrain.

2. Hyundai Elite i20

This is the third generation i20 and will compete against the Maruti Baleno/Toyota Glanza, Honda Jazz, VW Polo, and Tata Altroz. The latest iteration of the Elite i20 is likely to be launched sometime later this month. Hyundai is expected to offer three BS6-compliant engines on the third-gen i20: Two petrol and diesel. The car has multiple features, such as LED headlamps, projector fog lamps, sunroof, and alloy wheels. Internet-based connected car features are also expected to be installed in the newest version of the i20. The ex-showroom price for the same will be nearly Rs. 5.6 lakhs.

3. BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe

This will be the company’s most affordable four-wheeler in the Indian market. This car by BMW will be quite similar to Skoda Octavia, MG Gloster, Camry, and Skoda Superb. The BMW 2 Series can be pre-booked for Rs 50,000. It is expected to come with 2.0-liter petrol and diesel engine. The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is studded with features like iDrive system, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and a fully digital instrument cluster. It will have the same platform as the BMW X1 SUV. 

Expected Price – Rs. 35.00 Lakh – Rs. 38.00 Lakh

4. Land Rover Defender

The Land Rover Defender is making headlines as it has left buyers spoilt for choice. The Defender will be available in two versions – the 90 and 110, the former with 3 doors and the latter with 5. It comes in a 3 and 5 body variant, with options for the roof that includes a fixed metal door, sliding panoramic roof, or a sliding fabric one. Along with that, the car will have a 2.0-liter petrol engine. This beast has a 2.0 lite engine and delivers 292 bhp power.

Expected Price – Rs 69.99 lakh to INR 87.10 lakh.

5. Audi Q2 

The Audi Q2 will be a middle-class dream come true as it is hailed as being the smallest and most affordable SUV manufactured by the company.  This will be a 5 seater car by Audi and is expected to come with a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine and a 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Scheduled to have a virtual launch, it will compete against the key players including Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, and BMW. 

The features on the car will be LED matrix headlamps, an 8.3-inch multimedia infotainment (MMI) system, and a digital cockpit instrument cluster. The car comes with a 5-year bundle that ensures service charges, an extended warranty, and roadside assistance. Booking starts with a down payment of Rs. 2 lakhs. The company is offering ‘Peace of Mind’ benefits, which come bundled with a 5-year Service Package with 2+3 years Extended Warranty and 2+3 years Road Side Assistance.
