Netflix plans in India are available at various prices and with different benefits to cater to the varying needs of the streaming audience in the country. India is one of the main markets for the streaming service Netflix.
It has an upper edge in the competition among the OTT services, thanks to the high-quality original shows and movies that the service offers for those who like to binge-watch. However, the downside of the service in India was its pricing strategy.

Netflix plans in India: Mobile Plan Rs. 199
The Rs. 199 plan is called Mobile and it supports only one smartphone. So, users who subscribe to this plan can use it only on one smartphone. The downside with this plan is that you cannot watch Netflix content on a bigger screen with this mobile-only plan. It supports HD content streaming, which was missing until recently.
Netflix plans in India: Basic plan Rs 499
Apart from the Mobile plan, Netflix also offers a ‘Basic’ plan that costs Rs 499 per month/ Rs 5,988 for a year. The plan includes pretty much the same benefits as the Netflix Mobile package, but you can stream the content on more devices, including laptops and smart TVs. The number of active screens and downloads will be limited to just one device.
Netflix plans in India: Standard Rs 649 plan
Unlike the Rs. 499 plan, which allows you to stream content on only one device at a time, the Rs. 649 plan allows you to stream content on two devices (screens) simultaneously. The annual fee for the plan is Rs 7,788.
Netflix plans in India: Premium Rs 799 plan
The Rs 799 plan is kind of a family-plan wherein the account can be accessed on four-screens at a time. All content can be streamed in HD or SD and the annual subscription cost for the plan is Rs 9,588.
How do I subscribe to Netflix?
To subscribe to Netflix, you need to login into your Netflix account or create one. And, choose the right plan that you want to subscribe to based on your preferences. Now, choose a payment method and authenticate the same. Once you complete the payment, your Netflix plan will be activated.
How to get a free Netflix premium subscription?
If you are a Reliance Jio customer, you can get Netflix for free by subscribing to Jio PostPaid Plus plans. The operator is offering a free Netflix subscription with its range of Jio PostPaid Plus plans. These include Rs 399, Rs 599, Rs 799, Rs 999 and Rs 1,499. Apart from this, you will also get free Amazon Prime and Disney+ Hostar VIP subscriptions. Moreover, one can also get a free Netflix subscription with a JioFiber broadband connection. The company has revealed that customers opting for JioFiber plans of Rs 999 or above will get a free Netflix subscription. Moreover, Vi (formerly known as Vodafone Idea) is also offering access to Netflix for free with its RedX postpaid plan. The postpaid plan comes with a price tag of Rs 1,099 per month.
How to delete your Netflix account?
If you are unhappy with your Netflix subscription you have the option of canceling your subscription. The cancellation will happen only via a web browser. Just open Netflix on your internet browser, go to account settings, and click on cancel your subscription. If you cancel your subscription mid-way, you will be allowed to view Netflix for the remainder of the month.
