Digiboxx a Cheap and Affordable Alternative to Google Drive, Made-in-India
Here’s good news from NITI Aayog, they had launched DigiBoxx, an Indian data storage and management platform that furthers the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
What is Digiboxx?
Basically, Digiboxx is an indigenous digital asset management and storage platform, in short, a cheap and affordable alternative to Google Drive. DigiBoxx is defined as a Digital Asset Management service, where you can easily store and collaborate with friends by sharing digital assets, like raw files, photographs, sensitive collateral, etc.
Launched by NITI Aayog, the indigenous cloud service provider claims that data is encrypted and stored in servers in India.
DigiBoxx is currently available on the web (official website link) and Android (Free). IOS and desktop apps are currently in development. They will be available in the coming weeks.
What Digiboxx will offer?
Digiboxx has started offering up to 20 gigabytes (GB) of free online storage in which a user can store and share file size of up to 2 GB. The company’s paid service starts from ₹30 onwards in which users get 5 terabytes of storage space with a single file size of up to 10 GB.
You can also opt for a yearly subscription by paying Rs. 360 up-front. This is a single-user account and businesses/ enterprises are required to spend Rs. 999 and more for up to 50 users, up to 50TB storage space, and more. Enterprise users can also set expiry timers to shared files, automate backups, & manage users with ease.
How to Use DigiBoxx
To use DigiBoxx, users will need to create a free or a paid account on the website or Android app. They will be asked to enter a name for your Digispace and then share credentials including email address, phone number, and residence address industry, among other things. You can save your own files using the app or the website, and then access them from other locations.

As the CEO of Digiboxx said, “We are planning to hire 5,000 engineers in the next three years. We are currently in double-digit and an extremely agile and lean set up”. Will create job Opportunities for Cloud Engineers, Architects, and so on.
